Little Tasks {31 Days}
Today was filled with little tasks.
Painting, sealing, nailing, arranging, and working on finishing tasks for our kitchen project.
All those little tasks are piecing together a kitchen that is looking more and more finished. It's not done by any means, but it's getting there.
As I was doing these little, simple tasks, I was reminded at how much this mirrors our life.
A whole bunch of little things connecting together into one, grand story.
Thinking about my story like this helps me shift and focus on the big picture; it reminds me to take each piece as it comes (whether tedious or easy) and get excited about the finish line.
In the end, that's really what it's about, isn't it?
I love how the Message version of the Bible puts it:
"Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed - that exhilarating finish in and with God - he could put up with anything along the way: cross, shame, whatever. And now he's there, in the place of honor, right alongside God."
