Ta Da! The Nursery Reveal

There was a time that I thought I would have the baby before the nursery was finished...it seemed to be taking soooo long!

Thankfully, during these last few weeks, I got a little nesting bug and the determination to finish it up.

Before starting the nursery, I had some ideas, but I went into the process with more goals than concrete plans.

I knew that I didn't want the space to be too themey, I wanted it to be happy + fun, and I wanted it to be a room that reflected a bit of Josh and me. Plus, I wanted to keep it simple. Since we may be moving soon after Josh graduates in December, I didn't want to put too much money or time into a nursery he'd only have for a short time.

In the end, I think the nursery turned out better than I anticipated--I simply adore it! All we need is for baby boy to come so that I can enjoy this room with him :)

Now, I'm going to smother you with pictures--you can scroll down to the end to see all the details!

Come on in...

The details:
Crib: Second-hand and gifted to us to use
Chair: Craigslist. I paid 13 bucks for that chair--booya!
Ottoman: Walmart
Yellow stool: Shopped our house--I thought it added a fun pop!
Dresser/Changing table: Craigslist and then I painted it with a charcoal/blue and added new knobs from Hobby Lobby
Bookshelf: Also a craigslist find and refinished
Rug: Lowes (can you believe it was $42.00 for a 5x8 wool rug?? I got a steal!) ps...I think it's still on sale! They also have one is light blue which I got for our bedroom.
Globe: Thrifted
Basket: TJ Maxx--a long time ago. I just moved it from the living room to the nursery
Artwork above dresser/changing table: I used free printables from here and the clock is Josh's.
Quilt: Made by Josh's grandmother and mother. The pattern is called Star Gazer.
Mobile: DIY Cloud Mobile. I made the clouds with extra fabric from the quilt; Josh was the mobile engineer who made it actually hang right :)
FLY: DIY project. I simply mod podged paper onto wooden letters from Michaels
Blanket on the chair: Made by my sweet (and obviously talented!) sister :)

I'm sure I'm forgetting something--if you want to know where something is from, just ask! Now all we need is the baby :)

What do you think?
