May Goals

Let's just begin by saying that April didn't exactly go as I had planned ;) When I wrote out April's goals, we were planning on signing papers for a house on May 1st (yep, today!), but that didn't work out. Instead, we are still on the hunt for a house and praying we can find something soon :)

However, many of April's goals were met, so it wasn't so bad. Let's review:

Turn off technology at nine. Did this. And it was so, so good! In fact, I think I'm going to write a blog post about this soon :)

Start Luke's one-year photo book. I started. That's pretty much it. I still have a lot of work to do on this--but I think it might be a project for after all this moving/house stuff settles.

Start packing. I organized some of Luke's clothes, but I don't think that qualifies as packing. Oh well :)

Create 5 (or more) designs for the shop. I didn't do 5, but I did do 4. You can see them here, here, here, and here. ps. did you know that I opened up this shop to help me pay my way to the Influence Conference? So, every sale goes towards that goal :) Also, I'd love to generate enough profit to send another lady too!

Now for May's goals:

Turn off technology at nine. This one is making the list again. This goal was so good that I want to implement it again.

Have a garage sale: We need to be out of our place by the 19th. So, even though a garage sale will be a big job, I think that getting rid of a lot of our stuff plus getting cash for it will help make the move into our new place much easier!

Move every day. I really, really want to make moving and fitness more a part of my everyday. Whether it's a walk to the park, 10 minutes of yoga, or five minutes of weight training, I want to make it a point to move. I may try to convince Josh that I can get a buck for ever 30 minutes of exercise!

Spend time in the Word before social media. Who has the habit of checking Instagram and Facebook first thing in the morning? Um. Yep. Me. Me. Me. Honestly, I hate this habit. So, I want to make a point to read something filled with truth and life before peering at everyone else's life. Personally, I love the Morning + Evening devotional by Spurgeon or Jesus Calling. It doesn't have to be a dig in deep session, but I really want to prioritize the first moments of the day to life-giving words + thanksgiving.

Have you made any goals for May? I'd love to hear them!

  1. As much as I check social media, yup, first thing in the morning, I am far less productive at responding to and sending emails. I can't count the number I have promised you (over social media no less). And hooray for a shop to fund the conference. Let me know if I can help you reach your goal!

  2. How awesome about your shop! I would love to go to the conference this year too, not to find a way to make the money to go ;)

  3. Hey there, Nicole! Just peeking on over from Haley's Link Up :) We've got a lot of similar goals!

    - Go to the Influence Conference
    - Have a garage sale (YIPPEE!!! DECLUTTERING!)
    - Not wanting to check social media in the first minutes of the day :(

Turning off technology at 9 sounds like such a great goal...I might have to try that!

Plus, your prints are lovely :)

  4. I can't wait to hear more about turning tech off at 9. And I love your goal of raising $ to send someone else to Influence :-) I pray that happens!

  5. Your goals are slightly convicting to me... specifically the first and last one. I am excited to see how they go for you! Also I didn't realize your business was to get to influence (and send someone else). Very cool.
