Capture the Year: Week 26

This week has been the week of the boxes! Thankfully, I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel :)

Other than staring at or unpacking boxes, this week I...

Got a package of lovely washi tape:

Made Mexican Corn (so so good!...maybe a recipe coming soon!) and had a yummy summer meal:

Got the pup shaved. He looks pretty ridiculous, but he's cooler for the summer :)

Spent time soaking up God's work and enjoying coffee in the morning:

Watched Mac and our puppy-for-the-week (we are dogsitting!) play. Actually, more like listened to Mac bark, tried to stop him, bark, hush, bark, hush, play...

Helped friends move. Again--why, oh why do we even bother moving in the summer? Thankfully, this is the last of moving boxes for a while!:

Planted some succulents in the kitchen--so darling and easy :)

We also spent a lot of time unpacking, working, keeping the dogs under tabs, and putting up chicken wire along the fence so Mac can't escape!

Now, I'm prepping shop stuff so that I can get it going this week! I'm pumped to the get the store up and running again :)

How was your week?

  1. Oh to be young and have the energy to unpack, dog sit, and help friends move. So glad you have the energy.
Since you asked, we are busy with last minute preparations for our annual 4th of July pancake breakfast and parade my husband and I host for our neighborhood. We expect about 100 to attend and the temp to also be 100. Yikes.
    Have a wonderful holiday!

  2. I'm glad you enjoy the way you unpacked things over. The tapes looks very pretty. And I keep goshing about this one, those dogs are very adorable and they look like they are very behave.
