Overnight Oats: Round Two

I am probably overly obsessed with overnight oats (check out this post for some other flavors). I think I make a new flavor every week and probably eat it at least three times a week.

I simply love it. Easy. Filling. And full of possibilities!

While I whipped up a couple jars this morning, I thought of another three flavors. Goodness. Will it never stop? It's like how my brain is playing the Hunger Game books (I just finished the series yesterday) over and over again. I dreamt about it. I question certain events and mull them over.

Did anyone else who read the Hunger Games think about the story long after you finished the books? Few books really stick with me, but this series really pulled me in.

Let's get back to the oatmeal. I only made two kinds this time around--mostly because I have a lot of jars in the dishwasher and was too lazy to wash them. So, I only made two flavors because I had two clean jars :)

Today, I whipped up Pina colada and chocolate health nut--both are fantastic! I love having a little sweet in the morning--it helps prevent too many sugar cravings :)

Pina Colada:
1/2 cup almond milk (or other kind of milk)
1/2 cup rolled oats
2 tbsp crushed pineapple
2 tbsp shredded coconut

Chocolate Health Nut:
1/2 cup almond milk (or other kind of milk)
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 tsp ground flax seed
1 tbsp dark chocolate chips
A few almonds or other kind of nuts (I would add the almonds right before you eat!)

That's it! Much simpler than the Hunger Games :)

  1. This sounds amazing. I've been trying to use more oats in my cooking/baking lately, and love starting my day with a breakfast in some form of oats! Thanks for sharing this!
