Burn Ban and Caramel Popcorn

I hope that you all had a wonderful 4th of July!

We had a burn ban.

Our excitement was watching fireworks on television. This is the first 4th that I remember not having fireworks. In fact, I celebrated the 4th of July on two separate occasion in Guatemala. And we even had fireworks there!

I'm boohooing. Really, we made it up with our July 4th tradition--caramel popcorn. And although it's much more fun to eat while listening to crackling fireworks and sitting in lawn chairs under the night sky, it still tastes wonderful while enjoying a cheesy 4th of July show on TV.

Last year, I made crunchy caramel corn. This year, I made it sticky, gooey, and soft! Wonderful as it is, I may go back to the crunchy stuff next year (it's much easier to eat!)

You can find the recipe HERE! I think it's the perfect recipe for a quick fix for a party or a simple gift. Plus, it's just irresistible--just try and stop eating it!
