The DL on the LR

I've been busy "pinning" my inspiration on Pintrest (which I adore!) and gathering some ideas for the living room.

Here's the thing.  I've got a chair that is this color:

I frankly do not have the sewing skills for a slipcover (maybe someday!) or the money to find someone to do it for me.  So, I'm working with it!  I want to tone down the color with whites, natural browns, mustard yellows, and light blues.  Here's what I'm thinking for a color scheme:

There are some bold colors, but I think that they will tone down a bit when used with white and other wood/neutral tones.

We Josh did get this sign hung up last week, so we are one step closer to pulling the living room together:

Does anyone have any color ideas that you think would compliment the scheme?  I'd love to hear any suggestions!

  2. Love your love sign! Throw in lots of turquoise. That is what I just did with my den where I have a red sofa and a red chair that I cannot afford to change, right now. The turquoise brought that room out of 1999. I have a few photos on my blog, but will post on that finished room, soon. (turquoise also goes well with yellow).
    Good luck!
