Meet Sweetie Pie
I grabbed this baby up at a local thrift store for a whole 5 bucks--in August.  What month is this?  Let's just say that Sweetie Pie took a little longer than expected.  Here's what she looked like before:
Argh...I always forget the drawers!
After I sanded down the top, primed, and painted, I realized that water-damaged top was strutting its stuff.  I was not a fan!  So, I went to the store and picked up a thin piece of wood that Josh cut and glued to the top.  Although it does look like part of the piece, I realized (in retrospect) that I should have done a more through job of sanding the edges.  There are a few spots where it looks a little sketchy!  I guess it's all part of the learning!  She's painted in the same color as my desk, Uffda. I love the color!
Here's Sweetie Pie now:
I'm a sucker for fun knobs.  Plus, I love the contrast of the red against the blue.
Have a fantastic Halloween!
