Fall Favorite #6: Making Pumpkin Spice Lattes on the Cheap

Doesn't this look lovely?

It does, doesn't it.  Well, I didn't actually shoot this picture (unfortunately, my camera's settings were off so I didn't get any superb photos of this process), but this photo looks a lot like the final product of my latest fall favorite!  Like I've told you in earlier posts, I LOVE Pumpkin Spice Lattes, but my budget doesn't support my espresso-lovin' habit.  Last week, I went on a mission to create my own homemade version.  This is a recipe I tweeked to make my own homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte:

Pumpkin Spice Latte
Ingredients:
2 cups of 2% milk
1 tsp of Pumpkin Spice
1 tbsp of sugar or sugar substitute
1/2 tsp of vanilla
2 oz of double strength coffee

Directions:
Heat milk (about two minutes in the microwave)
Add milk, pumpkin spice, sugar, and vanilla into a blender
Blend until frothy. Pour milk mixture into coffee. Enjoy!  Add a dollop of whipped cream for extra fun!
If you’re  a chocolate-lover, replace the Pumpkin Spice with 2 tbsp of cocoa to create a delicious and frothy hot cocoa.
Makes 2 servings!

  1. I can´t find a link where I could write to you more personally, so I write it here, and I´ll be short. I´m writing from Spain, and I want to tell you that I love your blog. I like your simplicity and your happiness (and your last name, the same as my grandmother´s). Hope to hear from you soon!
PS: This recipe certainly looks delicious!
